Perpetual licenses

  • Where can I find my Perpetual license(s)?

If you have a Perpetual license assigned to your account, you may find your license details in billing.

If you had bought one or multiple Perpetual licenses for other people before October 18, 2019, you may find these in your account settings, under license management.

If you have license keys that are unassigned, you can still assign these to an account. Just share the license key with someone else and they can enter the license key in billing, under the individual plan.

  • Can I renew a Perpetual license purchased before October 18, 2019?

As we moved from Perpetual licenses to subscriptions on October 18, 2019, it is no longer possible to purchase Perpetual licenses. If your Perpetual license expired and you want to renew it, subscribe to one of our new plans.

As a token of appreciation, we will give you the first year for free (100% off) when you subscribe to the yearly Individual plan. You can keep using the latest version of ProtoPie for a whole year for free. Furthermore, you can get 50% off for the first year for your whole team when you subscribe to the yearly Team plan.

Contact us if you need help choosing the right plan for your needs.

  • Can I revoke and reassign a Perpetual license purchased before October 18, 2019?

Perpetual licenses that have been assigned to an account already cannot be revoked and reassigned.

If you need ProtoPie for a new account, please subscribe to one of our plans.

  • How do I switch from a Perpetual license to an Individual plan?

Even though you have a Perpetual license that is still valid today, you are able to subscribe to the Individual plan, billed monthly or yearly. However, you would be billed for the first month or year immediately. The next billing date would be one month or year after the expiration date of your Perpetual license.

If you cancel your Individual plan, you can benefit from the perpetuity of the license that you had before. This means that you can keep using the last version of ProtoPie at the time that your license expired.

    Example

Your Perpetual license has 2 months left and you would like to opt for the monthly individual plan afterwards. You could subscribe already if you prefer. You would be billed for the first month immediately. 1 month after the expiration date of your Perpetual license (meaning 3 months later) would be the next billing date.

  • Can I have a Perpetual license and be on a Team plan at the same time?

If you have a valid Perpetual license and you subscribe to the Team plan or join a team as an editor, both would be ongoing at the same time.
