  • Why is my prototype behaving differently in the preview window compared to ProtoPie Player or Cloud?

Prototypes and interactions made in ProtoPie should behave the same in the preview window, ProtoPie Player and Cloud - with the exception of sensor- or keyboard-related interactions, interactions across devices, and interactions involving the Link response.

  • I cannot find a font that I installed on my computer in ProtoPie, what should I do?

Make sure that you install fonts using Font Book on macOS or Fonts Control Panel on Windows, instead of using third-party font managers. After restarting ProtoPie Studio, you should be able to use the fonts that you just installed.

  • Voice prototyping does not work in my prototype, what should I do?

ProtoPie's voice prototyping features consist of speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS).

By default, the prototype does not pick up any speech. Hence, in order to use the Voice Command trigger, enable listening first using the Listen response.

Best practices for greater efficiency and accuracy:

    • Stay close to the microphone.
    • Avoid background noise.
    • Try to be articulate.

Speech-to-text interactions work in the following:

    • Preview window of ProtoPie Studio
    • ProtoPie Player
    • ProtoPie Cloud
      • Google Chrome on desktop
      • Google Chrome on Android

Make sure what you enter in the text or formula input field in the Speak response can be interpreted as text. Then the prototype should be able to "speak" by reading the text out loud.

Text-to-speech interactions work in the following:

    • Preview window of ProtoPie Studio
    • ProtoPie Player
